About Us

Islamic Awareness Forum was formed in July, 1996 mainly to promote the five pillars of Islam among young Muslims from different works of life and different backgrounds of the British Muslim community and to remind ourselves of our duties to our Lord, Almighty Allah.

Some of our objectives are;

* Re wakening the Islamic Spirit, culture and sense of belonging amongst young Muslim brothers and sisters.

* Create a social and educational environment for meaningful interaction in accordance with the sunnah of Islam.

* Assist members in understanding the values of the deen by providing books and leaflets.

* Assist other Islamic organisations with our areas of speciality.

Islamic Awareness Forum meets twice every month. The first meeting takes place on the 2nd Sunday of every calendar month, whilst the second meeting takes place on the 4th Sunday of the same calendar month. Meetings last three hours, 1PM - 4PM. 

Meetings consists of lectures/seminars, Qu'ranic short talk and current contemporary issues from an Islamic view point.
